AI calendar assistant: plans in your calendar, without typing

An AI calendar assistant should turn what you say into calendar events you can trust. What it should handle, and how UTTER IN does it.

A laptop showing a blurred weekly calendar on an oak desk, a phone and a ceramic cup beside it in soft daylight.

A calendar is only as good as what gets into it. Most missed plans were never missed by the calendar: they never reached it. An AI calendar assistant earns its place by closing that gap, turning a plan mentioned in passing into an event with the right day, time and place.

What gets in the way

Adding an event by hand takes a dozen taps: open the app, find the day, set the time, type the title, add the place. That is fine at a desk. It does not happen in a corridor, at a school gate or in the car, which is where most plans are made.

So the plan waits in your head, "I will add it later", and later is when it is forgotten.

What an AI calendar assistant should handle

Plain language. "Lunch with Noura on Sunday at one, at the place near her office" should become an event without you filling in a form.

Relative dates. "This Thursday", "next week", "the 3rd". The assistant has to work these out from your time zone, and never quietly put a plan in the past.

More than one plan per sentence. Real speech bundles things together. The assistant should separate them.

Missing details, flagged. If you did not say a time, the event should not invent one. It should show you that the time is missing so you can add it.

Your existing calendar. You already have a calendar. The assistant should write into it, not ask you to move to a new one.

Changes that follow through. Move the plan later and the calendar event should move too.

How UTTER IN works with your calendar

Say your plans, or type them. UTTER IN shows each one as a card with the date, time, people and place it understood. When you approve a card it is saved as a plan.

Google Calendar: connect it once in Settings on utterin.com, and every plan you approve is added to your Google Calendar. Edit or move it in UTTER IN and the event is updated.

Outlook and Apple Calendar: subscribe to your private calendar link from Settings. Your approved plans appear in Outlook or the Calendar app on your iPhone or Mac, at work or at home.

Notes have no date, so they do not go to your calendar. If you connect Notion, they are saved there instead.

Why approval matters more in a calendar

A wrong reminder is a nuisance. A wrong calendar event can mean turning up on the wrong day. That is why UTTER IN never adds anything to your calendar on its own. It proposes, you check, and only an approved plan reaches your calendar. Checking takes a second; fixing a missed appointment takes much longer.

Getting started
