How it works, in detail.
What each part of a Review Card means, how to change something before or after you approve it, and what happens to what you say.
Everything on the card, explained.
One capture becomes one card per thing you said. Nothing is saved until you approve it.

- The day we worked out, always as weekday, day, month — never a phrase like “next Thursday” echoed back at you.

- Where it is, if you said.
- CATEGORY
- Which shelf it goes on when you browse later. Always present, always changeable.
- MISSING
- Something this kind of item genuinely needs before it can work. Approve stays away until it is filled in.
- ASSUMED
- Something we chose that you did not say — usually a year, or the day for a bare time. Shown rather than hidden, and editable.
- CONFIDENCE
- How sure we are we read you correctly.
Two cards that stop and ask.
Most cards you simply approve. These two are the product refusing to guess, and both are fixed in the same place — Edit.
“Remind me at 10 to prep the proposal.”
An hour with no AM or PM could be either. We would rather ask once than put your morning in the evening. Say “at 10 AM”, or fill it in under Edit.
“Lunch with Khaled on the 15th.”
A date with no year resolves to the next time it comes round, and we tell you we chose it. A guess you cannot see is not a guess you agreed to.

How do I…
How do I change something on a card before approving it?
- Press Edit at the bottom of the card.
- Change the title, date, time, reminder, place, who it is with, a link, or the category.
- Press Done editing, then Approve.
Approve reads the edited values, so what you approve is exactly what gets saved. If something required is still empty, the button reads “Fill in what's missing” instead.
How do I change a plan after I have approved it?
- Open Plans and tap the title of the one you want.
- Press Change.
- Edit the title, date, time, category, place, people or links, then Save.
Move the date and every reminder on it moves too, keeping the same distance from the plan. The page lists each one with the moment it will actually fire.
How do I save a link to a place?
- On the plan, press “Find this place” next to the location. It opens a map search in a new tab.
- Copy the address your browser lands on.
- Press Change, paste it into the link field under the place name, and Save.
Searching asks Apple from our own server, so no maps code runs in your browser and no map is embedded in the page. “Find this place” is still there for when search cannot find it — an ordinary search link you open yourself, and you paste back the address. Either way the place name becomes a link you can tap for directions.
How do I add or remove the people on a plan?
- Open the plan and press Change.
- Type names into the PERSON field, separated by commas.
- Save.
Removing a name takes them off this plan only. These are names, not accounts — nobody is notified, and nobody else can see your plans.
Before you approve.
What is a Review Card?
It is what we understood, shown back to you before anything is saved. Say or type something and each separate thing in it becomes its own card — the date, time, place, people and category we read from your words, plus the exact phrase each one came from. Nothing is stored until you approve it.
Why did one sentence turn into several cards?
Because you said several things. “Dentist Thursday at 4 PM, and remind me to call the bank” is two separate intentions, so it becomes two cards you approve or dismiss independently. It still counts as one capture against your plan.
What does a MISSING row mean, and why is Approve not there?
It means something this kind of item genuinely needs is absent — a reminder with no time cannot ever fire, so saving it would be a promise we could not keep. The Edit button reads “Fill in what's missing” while that is true, and Approve appears once it is filled in.
What does an ASSUMED row mean?
It means we chose something you did not say — most often a year, or the day for a time you gave without one. It is shown rather than hidden, and it is editable, because a guess you cannot see is not a guess you agreed to.
Why is it asking which half of the day I meant?
Because you said an hour without a marker. “At 10” could be morning or evening, and we would rather ask than schedule your day around a coin toss. “At 10 AM” or “at 10 in the evening” resolves it, in English or in Arabic.
It filed something under the wrong category. Can I move it?
Yes, on the card before you approve it and on the plan afterwards. Categories are how you browse later, so a wrong one is worth fixing and takes one tap in either place.
What happens when I press “Not this one”?
That card is dismissed and nothing is saved from it. If you dismiss everything from one capture, we offer to let you say it again with your original words already in the box — including the transcript of a recording, so you can correct one misheard word instead of repeating the whole thing.
After you approve.
Do you look the place up for me?
Yes, since August 2026. Type a name and we search it for you — on an iPhone the search happens on the device itself, and everywhere else we ask Apple from our own server. Your browser never talks to a maps provider, no map is embedded in any page, and no tracking script is loaded. Apple sees the words you searched for and nothing else about you. You can still paste a link yourself, which is how this worked before and still works when search cannot find something.
What do Done, File away and Remove do?
Done marks it finished. File away puts it out of the way while keeping what happened to it. Remove puts it in Recently removed, where it stays for 30 days and can be restored — nothing is deleted on a timer, and you can delete it for good from there whenever you want.
Something's date passed and I never marked it done. What now?
It stays in Today under a heading asking what to do with it, and it leaves as soon as you choose Done, File away or Remove. It is never quietly marked as missed, and nothing counts a streak.

How do I get a reminder?
Ask for one in the same breath as the thing itself — “dentist Thursday at 4 PM, remind me the day before” — or add one on the card under Edit. The card shows the exact moment it will fire before you approve it.
If I move a plan, does its reminder move too?
Yes, keeping the same distance from the plan. A reminder set for the day before stays the day before. The plan page lists every reminder with the moment it will actually fire, so you can check rather than take our word for it.
How does a reminder reach me?
As a browser notification if you have turned those on, with email underneath as a backstop. If the notification is not confirmed as shown, the email goes out anyway — one of the two always reaches you, and never both.
Saying it out loud.
What happens to my recording?
It is transcribed, and the original audio is deleted once the things it produced have been settled. We keep the meaning, not the recording. The transcript is shown above your cards so you can see exactly what we heard.
Which languages can I speak?
English and Arabic — including Gulf, Egyptian and Levantine dialects as well as Modern Standard — plus French, German, Italian and Spanish. You can mix them in one sentence; most people do. Dates and times are understood in all of them, and what you said comes back in your own words. The interface itself is in English for now.
Do I have to use my voice?
No. Typing does exactly the same thing and costs no voice minutes.
What we keep.
Who can see what I capture?
Only you. Your captures are private to your account, and there is no sharing feature — nothing you say goes to anyone else.
Can I get my things back if I delete them by mistake?
Anything removed sits in Recently removed for 30 days and can be restored from there. Nothing expires on its own and history is never a paid feature.
What things cost you.
What counts as one capture?
One submission, however many things come out of it. Saying four things in one breath costs one capture, not four — charging per result would punish exactly the way we ask you to talk.
Does a voice note cost more than typing?
It uses voice minutes for the transcription and one capture for turning it into cards. Your account shows both counters separately.
What happens when I reach my allowance?
We tell you before anything runs, show the date it resets, and keep whatever you had written exactly where it is. Nothing is ever lost at a limit. Allowances reset on your own signup date each period, not on the first of the month.
